Merry McKentys performing on Ship Point Stage for Victoria's Canada150 celebrations

You guys were one of the hits of the Festival! Jon Bartlette, Artistic director, Princeton Traditional Music Festival

It was a pleasure to work with the Merry McKentys. They are kind, professional, and prompt. We book them for our conferences as often as schedules permit, and they enchant our guests every time! Their old-time family fiddling, tight vocal harmonies, and foot stomping dance tunes provide delightful and wholesome entertainment for all types. Dana Bass Solomon, CEO, Hollyhock Lifelong Learning Centre
Thank you so very much for giving us such a wonderful show … We were enchanted, lifted, blown away and thoroughly entertained by the music you shared with us. I got so many good comments from the audience members last night I just had to pass this along to you. We loved your openness, your delight in life and the quality of your music. Please come again! You spread the message of love, peace and good will so well - The Merry McKentys are a force for the Light in the world. Sue Averill, Artistic director Nanaimo Folk Connection.
Thanks to you and all The McKentys (and adopted McKentys) for the wonderfully entertaining show that you played for us at Norway House! We loved the great variety of music you played, your interesting original material, and your well chosen folk covers and traditional material. Your positive outlook on life came through in the show and left us all with a smile on our faces and a song in our hearts! Patty Castle, Victoria Folk Music Society (Victoria, B.C.)

We hired the Merry Mckentys for our wedding after hearing a few of them playing in Courtenay and they were the perfect band for a wedding. Even relatives who usually refuse to dance were up dancing and having a wonderful time at the wedding. The music is beautiful. Each family member has their own unique talent and infuses the songs with their energy and passion for music. I would highly recommend them for any event. Arran Arthur, bride

Thank you all to the moon and back for the wonderful music at our wedding. The contra dance was a big hit. We’re so glad to have met you, and hope to see you again soon. Veronica Nobury, Bride, (Salt Spring Island)
